RUN #2041, 28 JUNE 2021– HARE: HALF-A-BAR

Location – Royal Hotel Meredith

30 Ballarat Hashers signed the book and we were also joined by a contingency of Geelong Hashers as we gathered in Meredith for run 2041. There was also a Hash Cryptic Crossword distributed around the tables that kept many occupied throughout the evening. About 14 of us ventured out on the run which took in bleating sheep, barking dogs and lots of shiggy along the trail near the Coolebarghurk Creek, resulting in all runners returning with very wet shoes and cold feet. The weather was crisp and cold, the only thing that wasn’t cold was the beer at the drink stop, which was somehow warmer than the air temperature?!?

We started the down downs with the celebration of Donuts reaching 800 runs. He was presented with a T-shirt, balloons and a large plate of donuts.  He ought to be publicly pissed on 

Welcomes Back went to: The crowd of 9 Geelong Hashers (I don’t know who they all were, and they didn’t sign our book?)  Get a life 

Mountie then shagged the run and gave the following scores, Venue -5 (She didn’t like the Royal Pub as she is a Republican), Terrain 10 (trail was wet and there was lots of sheep shit), Marking 5 (who marks trail with fertilizer?), Drink Stop -5 (warm beer, need I say any more), Groovy Factor -1 (this was the outside temperature), giving a total of 4 out of 100.  Shitty Trail 

Charges from before the run went to Killer who thought Mountie was sitting down so she didn’t need to wear her mask, and she likewise thought he was sitting down too.  No No No  All Richmond supporters were charged and Masterbait was charged for being forgotten from the Welcome Backs and for not being invited on Normal’s trip.  It’s a Grand Old Flag  Half-a-bar was charged for setting trail on a closed footpath and Lois was charged for wanting to see the big sky on her recent travels when it was clearly visible much closer to home by looking up when outside tonight. Drop Kick, Deep Heat and Fergie were also charged for their association with the Geelong Hash.  You’re Stupid 

Half-a bar then told a sheep related joke and we moved on to charges from the run. Fergie was charged for running into the back of the footpath under repair sign which sounded like a gong and Rowdy was charged for grammatical corrections on trail. All Essendon supporters were also charged.  Give us an A  Fascinator was charged for something about a renovators delight and we then moved on to the sniffy runs: Donuts 801, SS 1771, Bad Hair Day 96 and Rowdy 1278.  Do Your Balls Hang Low 

We then went on to meet another Rowdy in the bar and if one Rowdy drinks, all Rowdy’s drink.  Twenty Toes  Dim Wit then told a joke about Nutcracker who is never late for work as she knows all the short cuts. This was followed by a comment from Shafted that hairdresser jokes are taboo (Ha Ha!!!! ).  She’s a Harriette 

Half-a bar was charged for wanting a hand to put 94 sheep in the shed so he has something to do tonight and Campaspe was charged for imitating a reporter. This led to a charge for the other reporter, Lois Lane. Dr Death was then charged for not being dressed in drag for his 60th, 3½ years ago.  His One Skin 

Half-a bar was charged again, and further charges went to Head Hunter, Bar Licker and Rowdy number 2.  Give us an A  Just went we thought we were finished we got another jug of beer so to finish it off, all the Geelong Hashers were charged again.  Give us an A

RUN #2040, 21 JUNE 2021, WINTER SOLSTICE – HARE: CAMPASPE

Location – Park Hotel

Following an audit by Lois Lane, this run has been reclassified as run 2040. Next week the run numbers will be back on track.

33 Hashers signed the book and about 15 of us ventured out on the fabulous run with no hills because the wonderful west has no hills, just the way I like it. The run took in Winter St in honour of the winter solstice and finished at a drink stop at the Olympics rings, as we are only about a month away from the rescheduled Olympics.

Welcomes Back included: Precious, Rowdy, Bad Hair Day, Dr Death, Dumb n Dumber, Num Num, Teflon, Pebbles, Criss Cross, Bent Nose and Nat (the newby).

Mountie then shagged the run and gave the following scores, Venue 15 (Good score here cause Mountie got a free beer), Terrain 5 (Mountie likes hills and there were no hills), Marking 2, Drink Stop 2 (marked low because it was too soon, the Olympics are still a month away), Groovy Factor 15, giving a total of 39 out of 100. There were lots of Sniffy runs, these included: Bent Nose 1414, Precious 169, NBCL 66, Donuts 800, Mountie 1307, SS 1770, Half-a bar 1260 and Nat on 1. The GMs were also shamed for forgetting Donuts 800 run achievement.  Do your balls hang low  Botany Bay 

Charges from before the run went to Precious for bringing his own candles when house sitting.  His One Skin  Pebbles was charged for something about an employment agency phone call reference and the GMs were charged for the recent TV showing of Austin Powers where they copied Hash and our Shagalicious year. D&C was also charged for asking how much the run was??? All Hawthorn supporters were then charged by Dr Death as he only got 5 in the footy tips because of them.  Mrs Murphy  Campaspe was charged for not seeing a pointy end for a long time  and if 1 Dr drinks, all Drs drink, so Dr Death, Rowdy and Quick Dick, all joined her. Pebbles was charged for selling his car to himself and Nat the newby was also charged.  Give us an A  Num Num was charged for her sleeping bag onesie making her warm and moist and Dumb was charged for having a button undone on his cheetah onesie.  She’s a Harriette 

Charges from the run went to Mountie for her commando roll on the run and for touching her girly bits on Quick Dick as she went past. Campaspe was charged for not making it the longest run on the longest night. She also received complaints that it was not the shortest run on the shortest day…. There is no pleasing some! Head Hunter was then charged for fighting with Mountie over Quick Dick.  20 Toes  Mountie and Lois Lane were charged for their Super Hero themed shirts and Pauline and NBCL were charged for matching haircuts – they are almost twins. Mountie and both GMs were then charged for being Pure Blonds (like some of the beers in the esky).  Give us an A

After meals at the pub there was an official Hash Christening – Narelle was christened “Nurse Batshit” – Nurse for her occupation and relationship with Dr Death and Batshit for her patients and friends who are all Batshit Crazy!  Give us an A
