HARE: CHRIS CROSS – LOCATION: BIRDWOOD PARK, INNES LANE, BUNINYONG & DE SOZA PARK/BUNINYONG BOTANICAL GARDENS

I think that around 36 Hashers signed the book and gathered in Buninyong for the run this week. Mountie’s corner of the sign in book was very popular this week, but she wasn’t there to grumble about it. The Bill was late because he went to Inglis St, which sounds like Innes…..but it isn’t. Chris Cross then sent us off on a very mountainous trail (I measured 5.6km) with LOTS of hills before we congregated at the top of ANOTHER hill back at Birdwood Park for the drink stop. There was then mass confusion and Hashers spread between 2 parks in Buninyong. Eventually most arrived at De Soza Park for the down downs, where we celebrated Num Num’s 700th run. We then returned to the Botanical Gardens for the BBQ dinner.

Hash circle began with celebration of Num Num’s milestone 700 runs with flowers, cake and decorations. It was a double celebration as it was also her birthday this week. If one Num drinks, then Mr Num drinks too, and Dumb joined her out the front.  She’s the Meanest 

We then had welcomes back for Deep Heat and Bad Hair Day, but BHD wasn’t there so, Pauline, you’ll do. Deep Heat then shared a joke about the worst head job he’s ever had….and it was wonderful.  Get a Life 

Mrs D then stepped up as a stand in screw despite her objections regarding screwing another teacher. There was no mut white board this week and Mrs D claimed that her mut was smaller than Mounties mut. There was then call for Precious to comment as he had passed through Mrs D’s and further comments about a mut that has delivered babies vs one that has not. Scores were then awarded for the run: Terrain 20 (lots of hills), Marking -10 (trail was lost several times), Venue 10 (which venue??? 10, then another 10, then minus 10), Drink Stop 18 (well stocked but was too high, at the top of ANOTHER hill), Groovy Factor 5 (there were Christmas Decorations visible at De Soza Park), giving a total of 43 out of 100.  Shitty Trail 

Both Sergeants were again in attendance and Lois Lane’s first charge was for Dr Death, Deep Heat and Dim Wit, as they all have sore knees. Dim Wit wasn’t there, so Fascinator, you’ll do, and he took a drink with the others.  Give us an A 

Dumb then charged Deep Heat for saying that he was considering driving to Geelong for Hash, but he joined us in Buninyong instead and there was another charge for Num Num for something I didn’t hear.  No No No   They Ought to be 

QD then charged NBCL for his efforts pulling Excalibur out (this was actually a wooden post at Birdwood Park that was interfering with the ability to get the drinks to the drink stop.  Nutbush City Limits 

Fascinator then charged Pauline for running on trail and not letting him catch up making him feel rejected. QD then disputed Fascinator’s popularity and said something about the run being modelling on a Fascinator styled run. This was followed by Nutcracker charging Juz Cum for fu@%ing up and charging Dr Death and Nurse Batshit for saving the day.  Build a Bonfire 

The lights then turned on in the nearby rotunda and Mrs D, the RA was credited and announced, “Let there be light”. Deep Heat then charged Dr Death as he had seen Nurse Batshit carrying a slab of beer to the van and Dr Death did not attempt to help her in any way and left her to balance it on her knee while trying to open the door.  No No No 

Nutcracker then charged Big Dog as D&C wanted to give it to him so bad. D&C then handed over the money tin.  Some new Rowdy Christmas Carol  . Lois Lane charged Campaspe, as she had mentioned that we should be mindful that there were kids nearby playing on the swings, but Lois said that it was OK, because we have Spencer here.  Mrs Murphy 

We then moved on to next weeks run, which will be set by QD & HH. Location is TBA but it could be the Brown Hill Hotel?
